I'm Jo and I have been a professional portrait photographer for around 6 years. My love for family photography started when I had my own two children and I realised the importance of capturing those precious moments which pass far too quickly. I started off with family lifestyle photography but quickly realised that my passion is in newborn baby photography and cake smash photography in my studio - it's my happy place!
When babies arrive, families grow and evolve. You create your own personal stories through the lives of your children. Every one of them is amazing and unique and fascinating! Capturing memories is the reason I started Picture You and I want my work to be part of your family history for many years to come. I've invested in training, worked at my craft and I love what I do.
For me, the experience of your photo-shoot is just as important as your images. I offer a relaxed and comfortable session and I'm never put off by shy children, reluctant teenagers or nervous parents. I'm there to deliver what you want every step of the way, and I'll always go above and beyond what you expect to give you an amazing experience and treasured family photographs - my aim is for you to return throughout your children's lives so I can capture as many happy memories for you as I possibly can!
I have a dedicated photography studio space based next to my home, and it's been designed to be as warm and welcoming as possible. Studios can be intimidating for little ones (and for us grown ups too!) but having a space that feels like a home makes children relax and feel comfortable. If you're coming with a newborn, you can be assured that the studio will be cosy and warm, with space for you to feed, change and cuddle whenever you need to. There's also tea, coffee or cold drinks available, and toilet facilities inside my home.
There is plenty of easy parking available and I'm easy to find, just off the A13 at Pitsea and a five minute walk from Pitsea railway station. With easy access from the A13, A130 and A127 I'm visited by families from all over Essex, North Kent and South East London.
