Babies LOVE bathtime, which is why I’ve introduced Baby Splash Sessions! These mini photo shoots last around 45 minutes and are perfect for babies who are sitting up comfortably by themselves but aren’t yet too big to fit in my little tub!
The ideal age is between 9-12 months. I’ve found that babies younger than this can struggle to sit safely in the tub; older than this and they are usually walking, and often try to climb out of the tub. So for safety reasons 9-12 months is best.
The session uses my special Bathtime Splash Set and consists of three parts:
- Getting ready for bath! Playing with bricks, rubber ducks and posing for smiley portraits
- Splash time! With bath books, rubber ducks and plenty of splashing
- Snuggling up in their bathrobe, clean and dry and posing next to the bathtub
For the “Getting Ready for Bath” section, your baby will be naked except for a nappy and nappy cover (I’ll provide these!) and we will probably do a couple of naked shots too, as long as you’re happy with this!
What Do I Bring to my Baby Splash Session?
You’ll need to bring:
- a couple of towels
- baby’s hairbrush
- baby’s bathrobe
- any favourite bath toys you particularly want used in the shoot
I will provide bubble bath (bring your own if your baby has particular requirements due to skin conditions) and a range of bath toys and props. I also have little nappy covers (frilly knickers for the girls, and blue pants for the boys) for the “Getting Ready for Bath” part of the shoot, where your baby is naked except for a nappy and the nappy cover.
Pricing For Baby Splash Sessions
I ask for a £50 deposit when you book your session, and you’ll come back to the studio a week or so after your shoot to see your images and choose your package (and your deposit comes off the cost of your chosen package).
There is no separate session fee – prices below include the shoot itself plus the images/print products.
