WHAT COMES AFTER NEWBORN? OLDER BABY PHOTOGRAPHY
Looking for older baby photography options? A newborn session is best done within the first month, but sessions can be adapted to suit babies up to about two months. However, once your baby is past about eight weeks, most newborn photographers will consider them “too old” for a newborn session, and it might be difficult to find a photographer to take pictures for you. After the first month or so, babies sleep much less deeply and aren’t as curled up as they were, which makes newborn posing much more difficult; after two months, they are so alert that a usual newborn session just isn’t possible.
But if you missed out on a newborn session, don’t worry – my older baby photography sessions can capture babies at any age in their first year!
These sessions are suitable for babies over two months old. They are perfect to capture amazing first smiles, tummy time and your baby’s budding personality. Your baby probably won’t sleep much in their session, but those lovely awake shots give us a great glimpse into their character! I’m also happy to include family pictures at these sessions.
Older baby photography focuses much more on natural, un-posed images of your baby rather than carefully posed shots of tiny sleepy newborns. In these sessions it’s all about their character. We showcase their growing interest in the world around them and interactions with their favourite people – you!
Your shoot will last around an hour and a half, and I include the use of all props and outfits in these sessions.
2-3 months
Capture those first precious smiles from about 2 months onwards
3-5 months
At 3-5 months you can expect great tummy shots and natural interactions with your curious baby
6-9 months
As soon as your baby is sitting comfortably by themselves, you can have a “Sitter” session with props, giggles and plenty of character

There is no cost for the shoot itself. There is a £50 retainer is payable on booking, and this is then either taken off the cost of your chosen package or refunded if you decide not to make any purchases. You’ll be invited back to the studio about two weeks after your session to view your images and make your decisions about your package and purchases.
Products within packages are all subject to availability; if substitutes are required due to a lack of availability then I will discuss this with you beforehand.
